Thank you to the 3rd Grade Teacher, students and chaperones. Students had a wonderful time. I look forward to making our prism painting soon as well as having students do a study on shadows and light.
This blog chronicles what art my K-5 Art students do in the Art room. The blog is set up to be a stream of art created by all my students. Sections for each grade help parents find their child's or children's work. It is important for parents and students to see the progression of art from Kindergarden through 5th Grade.

3rd Grade Light Tour at the University of Michigan Museum of Art
The 3rd Grade Teachers and students took a Light Tour at the University of Michigan Museum of Art. Students looked at transparent, translucent and opaque light within the Museum collection as well as through the architect of the the Museum itself. Students saw how artists portray light as well as how objects in sculptures can have a powerful meaning when they reflect light.
